Kindles Are Helping Educate Kids In Africa

A non-profit organization called Worldreader is bringing eReaders to families around the world in hopes of putting “a library of books in the hands of families worldwide, using e-reader technology.”

Their latest success is getting 440 Kindles into the hands of students in a village in Ghana.

Here is more from the Worldreader blog: “The students understood that e-readers can change their life.  It wasn’t a shiny gadget that has market value and can be traded for other goods.
