JumpStart's School of Dragons comes to iPhone with new content

Since its release in last summer, JumpStart’s School of Dragons MMORPG has found fast success on a variety of platforms, including Facebook and web browsers, Android tablets and iPad devices. Now, iPhone users can jump into the virtual world, based on the How to Train Your Dragon franchise from DreamWorks Animation.

In addition, a variety of new content updates are now available for all players, expanding the fun gamers can have at home or on the go.

In School of Dragons, players become rookie dragon tamers, completing both whimsical and educational quests that teach gamers about scientific theory, or simply offer fun mini-games. Before this update, users were assigned a single dragon, but can now raise and train multiple dragons, housing them in special dragon stables.

Elsewhere, a new educational quest line has been released, based on one of the episodes of the How to Train Your Dragon-based television show, Defenders of Berk. Finally, a Flight Suit item is available to purchase for players’ viking avatars. This item was inspired by Hiccup’s flight suit from the new film in the series.

“From day one of our initial game launch, our fans have been asking for a mobile version of School of Dragons. I believe we have gone above and beyond in responding to these requests, as we are now available on multiple different mobile platforms — iOS, Android, Amazon, and Fuhu DreamTab devices,” said David Lord, President and CEO of JumpStart. “We continue to look at other platforms, and more ways to play the game are on their way.”
