iFake Tweet Spurs False Apple Tablet Reports
Don’t believe every tweet you read: A tweet on Twitter account @Media_Markt_de—which appeared to belong to German electronics retailer Media Markt and has since been shut down and reopened with zero followers—spurred a number of reports about the upcoming Apple tablet being called the iPad, debuting March 1 and being priced at 499 Euros with a T-Mobile contract or €899 without, TechCrunch reported.
It turns out that the Twitter account did not belong to Media Markt, and everyone will just have to wait until Apple debuts its new device at its Jan.
