The Huffington Post is beefing up its sales team, adding four newly created senior positions.
Andy Wiedlin joined HuffPost as vice president of sales, West Coast. He had held the same position with MySpace.
Philip Cara is now on board as VP of sales, East Coast. Cara had been regional sales director for AOL Advertising.
HuffPost’s new VP and general manager of the Washington, D.C., office is Peter Cherukuri, who had been senior VP and publisher of Roll Call.
And Brian Kaminsky joined HuffPost as VP and director of sales operations. He had been VP of global revenue operations for Reuters Media.
HuffPost president and chief revenue officer Greg Coleman said:
Andy, Philip, Peter and Brian bring to HuffPost tremendous experience from a range of well-known media brands, including Yahoo!, Reuters, Roll Call, MySpace and AOL. These appointments will greatly expand upon the capabilities and reach of our sales organization and help drive HuffPost’s continued revenue growth.
