Google Sky Map for Android Photo Verification

I’ve had Google Sky Map for Android installed on my phone since the app was released. However, I’m not much of a night sky watcher and never actually tried it. I was outdoors the other night and noticed a full moon (or a near full moon) and fired up Google Sky Map by pointing it around various areas of the sky and then, finally, towards the moon. The sky was overcast. So, I couldn’t see much in the way of stars.
