Google Can Remove Apps From Android Phones

In a blog post on the Android developer’s blog, Tim Bray wrote about the capability that Google has to uninstall applications that users have installed on their Android phones. He explained how Google recently used the capability to remove two applications that were uploaded to the Android Market that intentionally misrepresented their purpose. The app developer voluntarily removed the app from the Market, and Google decided to go ahead and remove the apps from phones.
