Forget Apple Tracking. iFixit Tore Apart a 2005 FBI GPS Tracker
iFixit is known for its teardowns of popular consumer devices like the iPhone. This time they have something quite different for us to look at.
This GPS tracking device was discovered and removed by the owner of the tracked car. She verified that it belonged to the U.S. federal government who asked for it to be returned. She did not. Instead she hung on to it for years until reading about a recently discovered GPS tracking device and turned over to the person who took it apart for iFixit’s publication.
