FitStar has announced the development of FitStar Yoga for iOS devices. The app will feature Strala Yoga founder Tara Stiles, and is being designed for all users, with all fitness and expertise levels. FitStar Yoga will offer customized video-based sessions led by Stiles, with the goal of helping users increase their flexibility, build strength and reduce their stress levels.
“We share a mission of inspiring people to live healthier lives,” said Tara Stiles. “The genius of FitStar Yoga is that is allows for a highly effective and comprehensive yoga experience that’s flexible and accessible.”
FitStar Yoga is being built on the technology behind FitStar’s first app, FitStar Personal Trainer. That app features NFL pro Tony Gonzalez, and was released in June 2013. Since then, the app has been downloaded more than one million times by users in over 150 countries.
“With more than 250 million people practicing yoga around the world, FitStar Yoga was a natural next step for us following the remarkable response to FitStar Personal Trainer,” added Mike Maser, CEO of FitStar. “We’re excited to collaborate with Tara Stiles in our effort to put millions of people on a path to improved well-being.”
FitStar Yoga is expected to release on iPhone and iPad this Fall.
