These pages have been adorned with many a Facebook-related infographic, but nonprofit bone marrow donor organization Be the Match is helping users of the social network create their own infographics to help promote a good cause, in an initiative it has dubbed My Social Strand.

Be the Match supports the National Bone Marrow Donor Program, aimed at raising awareness and fighting diseases including leukemia and lymphoma.

My Social Strand prompts users to log in via Facebook Connect and answer a few questions, after which it produces a personalized infographic with details including how many days the user has been alive, statistics related to users’ first names, comparisons with friends, and a match profile highlighting another user with similar characteristics.

A spokesperson for Be the Match told Mashable:

Our hope is that in just a couple minutes of engagement, people will want to get involved.
