College football fans gearing up for the 2012 Allstate BCS National Championship game between Louisiana State University and University of Alabama can participate in the Allstate Championship Challenge via the insurance company’s Facebook page.
The Allstate Championship Challenge allows users on PCs, tablets, or mobile phones to predict plays or sequences during the national title tilt, which will air live on ESPN January 9 at 8:30 p.m. ET from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
Fans can predict their answers to questions such as, “How many field goals will be kicked in the third quarter?,” or, “How will the next turnover occur?,” and compete against their friends. A live leader board will display players with the most points.
In addition, a randomly selected grand-prize winner will receive a VIP trip for two and tickets to next year’s BCS National Championship game in Miami, and other prizes will be awarded at the end of every quarter, including a Weber gas grill, a Vizio 3D entertainment system, 2012 season tickets to the college football team of the winner’s choice, and a VIP trip to the 2013 Allstate Sugar Bowl in New Orleans.
Other quarterly prizes will include authentic college football jerseys, fan gear packages, and sporting goods store gift cards.
