Is Your Small Or Midsized Business Facebook Fit?

FacebookFitLogo650Facebook continued its focus on small and midsized businesses with its launch of a series of five Facebook Fit workshops aimed at fostering growth in those types of businesses.

The social network is teaming up with companies that provide services to SMBs — Intuit QuickBooks, LegalZoom, and Square — on the workshops, which will feature tips on finance management, legal services, payment solutions, and other relevant topics.

Chamber of commerce organizations across the country, representing women and minority business owners, will also be part of the Facebook Fit process, as will best-selling author Rhonda Abrams and technology expert Mario Armstrong.

Facebook Fit workshops will be held in five U.S. cities this summer:

  • New York, June 3
  • Miami, June 19
  • Chicago, July 10
  • Austin, Texas, July 24
  • Menlo Park, Calif., Aug. 5

Facebook said in announcing Facebook Fit:

If you’re a small or medium-sized company interested in making your business stronger — regardless of your level of technology expertise — Facebook Fit is definitely for you. Space is limited, so sign up today. You can also follow the action on Facebook and Twitter by using the hashtag #facebookfit.

Facebook Fit follows the social network’s launch of the Small and Medium Business Council in March, made up of 12 small businesses, and 18 owners in total, and aimed at putting more of a face behind Facebook, building a small business community, boosting advocacy, and collecting feedback on how the social network can improve the experience for business owners.
