‘Star Trek: Into Darkness’ Film Promoted On Esurance Facebook Page

Fans of the Star Trek franchise looking for online video related to upcoming Paramount Pictures theatrical release Star Trek: Into Darkness, directed by J.J. Abrams, may find themselves beaming up into an unlikely destination: the Esurance Facebook page.

As part of its partnership with Paramount to promote the film, Esurance is offering fans several ways to engage via its Facebook page, including:

  • A video featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the movie, which Esurance said is one of the only clips currently available online.
  • The “Embrace the Darkness” sweepstakes, in which the grand-prize winner and a guest will attend the U.S. premiere of Star Trek: Into Darkness and receive $2,500 in travel expenses.
  • “The Vulcanizer,” which allows fans to upload and share pictures of themselves transformed into Vulcans.
  • Downloads including wallpaper, screen savers, icon, and movie posters.
