eBooks Composed Nearly 23% of Publishers' Revenues in 2012

According to the Association of American Publishers (AAP) StatShot report for the calendar year of 2012, total trade sales rose six percent  in 2012 compared to the same period last year (AAP chart embedded above).

The AAP looked back at the digital transformation, reporting that digital books now make up 22.55 percent of net revenues in the trade publishing industry. GalleyCat has a breakdown of sales by format and category last year. Here’s more from the report:
