DC Comics Goes Digital
DC Comics is expanding its digital reach, announcing a pair of deals in the new media space. The company also announced that it has launched a DC Comics app for the Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
The two deals are with comic platform company ComiXology and Sony’s Playstation Network.
Comics will be sold on a tiered pricing format, with prices starting at $0.99 and running to $2.99.
“At DC Comics, it has been a top priority that DC forges a meaningful, forward-looking digital strategy,” said Jim Lee, Co-Publisher, DC Comics.
