King.com leads the pack when it comes to the top Facebook developers. According to AppData, the social gaming company had an average of 93.5 million daily active users, giving it more than 23 percent of the market in March. Microsoft had about 26.6 million DAUs in the same time frame, with nearly 7 percent of the market. It was followed by Zynga (18.2 million DAUs), Spotify (12.4 million), and Supercell (11.3 million).
In March 2013, Zynga was on top. The company had more than twice as many DAUs as it does now. King.com had 27.4 million DAUs, over three times fewer than it does now — what a difference a year can make. Both Microsoft and Spotify had year-over-year growth, while HTC Sense dropped out of the top five. Supercell wasn’t even in the top 200 applications in March 2013. It is now No. 5 and approaching 3 percent market share.
