Screen protectors may actually protect iPhone screens more effectively than I thought according to the information noted by a consumer electronics insurer (Worth Ave. Group) quote in this CIO.com report:
iPhone screens hit with a hammer for a demo at MacWorld Expo broke screens without a screen protector on them. However, screens with a protective shield survived the impact. I wonder if this is also true for the iPad’s screen. And, what is it about a thin clear film that actually help prevent a screen shattering from a significant impact (hammer)?
