"Virtual Bumping" Gives Bump's Facebook Traffic a Boost

Bump, the company, provides a mobile app of the same name that lets you wirelessly share data between two nearby devices. It just announced a new $16 million round of funding yesterday.

The long-term vision is to create a better way for people to quickly pass data back and forth with a quick bump of two mobile phones. That could involve basic contact information, songs, photos or richer media.
