Borders to Launch eBook Store in June; Kobo Reader Pre-Orders Start Today
This morning, Borders announced that it will launch its much anticipated eBook store in June. The Borders eBookstore will be powered by Kobo, so, as you can see above, Borders is also taking pre-orders for the Kobo eReader, which will at last be available June 17th.
Borders promises to offer apps for various platforms and devices–again using Kobo’s functionality–nothing too surprising.
With Google also entering the eBook marketplace, we’ll have two new big players and stores to choose from.
