Blitz Brigade update adds new mode, weapons, and map

Gameloft announced that Blitz Brigade 1.1.0 released today in the App Store, adding capture-the-flag mode, a new map entitled “Cathedral,” as well as a variety of new weapons for every class to the popular multiplayer shooting game.

Blitz Brigade originally released back in May, and the freemium FPS was an instant hit, even if the cartoony graphics and team class system seemed to borrow heavily from Valve’s Team Fortress 2.

One of the immediate downsides upon downloading, however, was the lack of game modes, so the capture-the-flag upgrade will go a long way to keeping all those gamers with itchy (virtual) trigger fingers happy, at least until the next update.
