Barnes & Noble Runs "America The Beautiful" Essay Contest
Barnes & Noble has teamed up with USA Today and Rand McNally to launch a new writing contest for 7th-12th graders.
Students are encouraged to write an essay about what they love about America for the chance to win a $10,000 college scholarship as well as a free trip to Washington, D.C. Winners from each state will get a Nook tablet and have their essays published in an eBook collection called America the Beautiful. Teachers will also be rewarded for participating, as the first 1,000 teachers who register will get a B&N gift card.
