Bangladesh Launches a Free eTextbook Website
Sunday marked the official opening of Bangladesh’s new textbook repository, which was appropriately named e-Book.
It currently has 106 digital textbooks for primary and secondary students which were digitized as a joint effort between 2 Bangladeshi government organizations, the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) and the Access to Information (A2I) Project. Textbooks are available for free to all students, teachers, users parents.
This project, more than most, is very important. Neither Google translate nor Babelfish support Bengali, the national language.
