New York based developer Arkadium has expanded on its popular Mahjongg Dimensions brand with the help of Big Fish Games, as the pair has launched Mahjongg Dimensions Unblocked on iOS. The puzzle game offers more than 60 puzzles, as players chase a character called Angry Frank on a journey to help free “Cubies” from his traps.
Mahjongg Dimensions Unblocked offers a level-based story mode, a 60-second blitz mode, and an endless challenge mode that only ends when players “deadlock” a puzzle (run out of moves).
The same gameplay from Mahjongg Dimensions on Facebook and mobile has been carried over here, as mahjongg blocks are arranged in seemingly random 3D patterns, and players are challenged with tapping on matching tile symbols as quickly as possible to earn points and clear overall puzzles.
Players are rewarded with Cubies instead of stars for completing levels, and boosts can be purchased with coins to alter the gameplay experience (adding additional time to the clock, increasing the score multiplier, and so on).
“Mahjongg Dimensions Unblocked is a game that we feel our players will enjoy. Big Fish was founded on a Mahjongg game back in 2002, so it is gratifying to include a game that through good game inventions help drive this genre forward,” said Chris George, Vice President of Big Fish Mobile, via a company release.
General Manager of Arkadium Toronto David Elton added “With its addictive matching gameplay and hand-painted background graphics, we think players will really gravitate to Mahjongg Dimensions Unblocked for endless enjoyment.”
Mahjongg Dimensions Unblocked is now available to download as an extended free trial on iOS. The full game can be unlocked for $1.99. You can keep track of its progress on AppData, our mobile and social game and developer tracking service.
