CTIA – The Wireless Association has chosen Finn Partners, the new Ruder Finn practice, as its PR firm and event partner, promoting the organization and its two events International CTIA Wireless and CTIA Enterprise & Applications. CTIA has not previously worked with Ruder Finn, and had hired smaller firms to work on its public affairs and PR work in the past. Finn Partners EVP and head of the mobile and telecom practice Christine Bock and SVP Chris Fallon will lead the account, which will be handled out of New York, Washington D.C., San Francisco, and Chicago.
ZTE Corporation, a network solutions and telecom equipment company, has chosen Ogilvy PR and its technology practice as its U.S. AOR. According to the press release, ZTE is the fifth largest mobile phone manufacturer in the world. The firm will work with ZTE USA to raise the company’s profile here. The new Ogilvy China practice will also be working on the account.
Fashion designer Kesi Case has chosen TransMedia Group to promote her line. The firm will do both traditional media and social media outreach, and the firm’s founder Tom Madden will be going to France on the label’s behalf next week.
Vimond Media Solutions, a Norwegian online TV company, has selected Wall Street Communications for outreach to broadcast and media trade outlets. Vimond provides streaming services to cell phones, gaming consoles, Blu-Ray players and more.
Rose Communications, a Hoboken, NJ-based firm, has added Playworld Systems and Apex Tool Group to its roster. The firm will be AOR for Playworld, which has worked with Rose Communications previously. It will handle media relations, organize a thought leadership symposium for the firm, and provide other services. For Apex Tool Group, makers of Armstrong and other industrial tool products, the firm will provide social media strategy and advise on special projects.
