NBC Local Media New York Names Dawn Rowan Director of Communications
Dawn Rowan is the new director of communications for NBC Local Media New York, FishbowlNY reports.
Rowan will oversee communications and PR for all of NBC Local Media’s New york properties — including WNBC, NBCNewYork.com and NY NonStop. In a way, she fills the role of Anna Carbonell, who retired earlier this year.
However, Rowan said in an interview with PRNewser today that Carbonell had a more broad role at NBC and that she will be geared directly towards the publicity and communications function.
Rowan previously ran her own consulting firm, Rowan Communications, for clients that include Saatchi & Saatchi and Chipotle.
