It was last year when a young community advocate named Rachel Dolezal confused everyone in the country about her lineage, including her own parents.
You see, Dolezal’s parents spoke to a local newspaper in June 2015, sharing with the world that the cute black girl with the quirky hair is actually their country-bumpkin white daughter with an alleged identity crisis. To wit, Dolezal resigned from her post as the president of the NAACP chapter in Spokane, Wash.
After a few cringe-worthy media appearances, she went into hiding.
