Edelman Helping MTV Find First Ever "Twitter Jockey"

MTV said today that it is looking for its first ever “Twitter Jockey,” who will become a “brand-new face and voice for MTV across social media platforms, including MTV.com, to expand the two-way dialogue between MTV and its global audience.”

We should also mention that the position comes with a $100,000 salary.

The contest, “Follow Me: The Search for the First MTV TJ,” will collect votes via Twitter and Facebook, of course, and is also a promotional campaign for American Express’ ZYNC credit card.

Where does Edelman come into the picture? The agency’s TweetLevel Twitter measurement tool will evaluate the contestant’s performance “based on his or her influence, popularity, engagement and trust.”
