Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has chosen Edelman as its AOR after a competitive search that included Weber Shandwick and Next Fifteen firms Text 100 and M Booth, PRWeek reports. Next Fifteen firm Bite Communications was the incumbent, but was not involved in the review. The company also previously worked with Ketchum, but ended that relationship within six months of choosing the firm (along with Bite) back in 2008.
According to The Holmes Report, Edelman has handled AMD’s business in Asia-Pacific since last year, and both Bite and Text 100 will work with the tech company in Europe.
AMD’s CEO Dirk Meyer recently left the company and the company has introduced new products. The account is budgeted between $5 million and $8 million.
