NBC is swapping one new medical drama for another this fall.

The network announced that Chicago Med, its Chicago Hope/Chicago P.D. spinoff that had been slated for midseason, will instead debut this fall on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. The show, produced by Dick Wolf, takes the place of another medical drama, Heartbreaker, which the network said "is being revised due to [star] Melissa George's pregnancy."

Both shows will begin production this summer. NBC released its initial 2015-16 lineup on May 10.

Pregnancy aside, the swap makes a lot of sense for NBC, which is coming off its second consecutive season win among adults 18-49 and hopes to carry that momentum into the fall.
