NEW YORK Alan Schanzer, the longtime head of Mediaedge:cia’s digital agency MEC Interaction, has left the company to take on the newly created position of chief strategy officer at the online ad network Undertone Networks.

To replace Schanzer, MEC has elected to promote two of its top executives to serve as the agency’s joint leaders: Patrick Cartmel has been named managing director, digital operations, while Carrie Frolich has been named managing director, digital media. Both will report directly to Mediaedge:cia CEO Lee Doyle, with Cartmel relocating from the company’s Seattle office to New York.

Schanzer,
