Gray Television today announced that it is expanding its partnership with LSN, Inc., Local Solutions. Under the terms of the deal, LSN will be continue to deliver news, weather, sports scores and other content from Gray's local to affiliates to mobile subscribers. LSN and Gray, which operates 36 TV stations in 30 markets, have been partners since 2005.
The deal continues to broaden LSN's pool of mobile news content. LSN, the nation's largest network of local TV news content for mobile consumers, also has deals in place ABC, NBCU, Telemundo and other affiliate media partners.
For Gray, the partnership allows it to deliver branded content across the mobile Web as well as via text messaging. "On the LSN platform, we have seen unprecedented growth year over year with our mobile presence. Our mobile strategy is just another way we are able to reach our users where they want to be reached," said Lisa Bishop, Gray Television's vp of Internet operations and new media, in a statement.
More than a dozen wireless providers, including Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile and Sprint, currently carry LSN's platform. Most recently, Boost Mobile, announced it was adding LSN in March.
