Dennis Quaid hinted Tuesday that a viral video which appeared to show him having an on-set freak-out might have been a joke.

Well, it turns out it was.

The clip was captured on a cellphone and uploaded to YouTube on April 10. It hit Reddit Monday and went viral on Tuesday. It was all part of an elaborate Funny or Die video and great marketing for Quaid's new project on Crackle.

Quaid and Kate Bosworth star in the streaming network's first drama, The Art of More, which debuts later this year.
