World Cup Mania Takes Over Top 10 Branded Videos

Adidas, Samsung, Visa all top the VidIQ chart

With less than a week to go until the World Cup, seven of the top 10 branded videos plug soccer-themed spots this week.

Adidas claimed the No. 1 spot this week with its spot featuring its sponsorship with athletes like Jordi Alba and Dani Alves. The shoe brand’s clip is set to a Kanye West tune has been viewed 30.8 million times and tweeted more than 17,000 times.

Nike continues to prove that it doesn’t need an expensive World Cup sponsorship to build up World Cup buzz. Two of the brand’s football videos cracked the top 10 this week, both of which play up the brand’s Cristiano Ronaldo endorsement.

Compared to the Adidas and Nike hard-hitting spots, Kia pulls out the robots to set the scene for the World Cup while also pushing its Sorento SUV. The spot has raked in 2.42 million YouTube views.

In non World Cup-related news, Coke’s attempt to help break the ice among awkward college freshman landed the brand the No. 4 spot.
