The Weather Channel, Frommer's Storm the Web

The Weather Channel Interactive has hooked up with guidebook giant Frommer's Unlimited to beef up its travel-related content on the Web.

As part of a new partnership between the two companies, Weather.com’s travel destination guides feature Frommer's-produced content on over 150 cities and close to 150 countries and U.S. States. In addition these destination guides now help users factor in seasonal conditions when making decisions on travel, as they provide data on the best times of year to plan visits based on typical weather conditions.

Those in trip planning-mode can sort through the warmest, coldest, driest and wettest months for possible vacation spots, as well as average temperature and rainfall measures.

Besides climate information, Weather.com’s destination sections also offers classic travel information on attractions, hotels, kid-friendly activities and restaurants. According to officials, each section now houses up to 50 individual articles, as well as tools such as interactive radar maps and currency calculators.
