US Airways Tweet Shows Nude Woman Using Model Airplane as Sex Toy

Lewdest #fail in Twitter history?

Brands and Twitter sometimes make strange bedfellows. But when US Airways decides to screw the social media pooch, it doesn't toy around.

The airline's social media team tweeted to a complaining customer an image of a woman masturbating with a model airplane. What else is there to say?

Well, the tweet fail was up for at least 20 minutes and was sent to an additional customer. Evidently, a US Airways staffer had the lewd picture on his or her clipboard and accidently pasted it into Twitter infamy.

The brand apologized after deleting the messages.

If you want to check out the image, you can see a blurred-out (though still probably NSFW) version here.

Meanwhile, the worst brand tweet of 2014 may already be in the books. Let's hope so.

It's been an odd few days for airlines on Twitter, with American Airlines reporting a 14-year-old girl for pretending to be an Al-Qaeda terrorist. She was reportedly arrested today by Dutch police.
