SheKnows has launched SheKnows City Guide, a local content hub aimed at providing mothers with personal entertainment options as well as activities for their children.
The new channel, cityguide.sheknows.com, features listings in 30 top U.S. markets, including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Nashville, Chicago and Baltimore.
A big focus of the new guides is health, as each SheKnows local channel with rank 10 of the best places to work out, ranging from gyms to yoga studios to local hiking trails. In addition, the new city guides will provide activities for families to participate in together, such as festivals, museums and zoos.
Besides the Web version of SheKnows City Guide, the company is also introducing a companion App for the iPhone.
With the launch, SheKnows, which reaches over 3.6 million unique users (per Quantcast) will be competing directly with similar family-oriented guides, such as Nickelodeon’s ParentsConnect.
