Revision3 to Launch Film Riot
Web video production firm Revision3 will on Thursday (May 27) launch Film Riot, a service/entertainment series centered on independent filmmaking.
The new show will blend instructional, do-it-yourself-type practical advice from a group of actual independent filmmakers with various comedy sketches. During each episode, Film Riot’s hosts will also help viewers recreate specific special effects, while guests from the indie movie world offer tips and strategies for succeeding in the industry—particularly on a tight budget.
The show’s concept is somewhat similar to Next New Networks’ successful indie film–themed Indy Mogul, which instructs viewers on how to reproduce scenes from popular movies.
