MySpace's Hirschhorn Prepares for Departure
The revolving door at MySpace keeps spinning.
Jason Hirschhorn, MySpace’s co-president since February, is leaving the company to return to New York. His co-president Mike Jones is expected to lead the beleaguered social networking site for the foreseeable future.
Hirschhorn joined MySpace in April 2009 following the company’s ouster of CEO and co-founder Chris DeWolfe. At that time, Hirschhorn was brought on to assist newly named chief exec Owen Van Natta in shifting the floundering site’s focus toward becoming an entertainment-centric social hub.
But by February of this year, Hirschhorn was thrust into the role of co-president following Van Natta’s own ouster.
