Hulu, Roku Form Partnership

Hulu has announced a partnership with Roku, one of several startups which manufacture hardware designed to deliver Web video content to TVs.

As a result of the deal, Hulu's fledgling $9.99 subscription service Hulu Plus will be available to all consumers who have purchased a Roku HD player. Those Web streaming devices, which retail for $59.99 and up, allow users to consume a wide variety of audio and video content from the Internet on their TVs--wirelessly.

Roku already has similar distribution deals with Netflix, Amazon Video, Pandora and MLB.TV.
