Disney Adds Twitter's Jack Dorsey to Its Board

Brings tech perspective to mouse's house

Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey has been appointed to Disney’s board of directors.

The Walt Disney Co. announced the move today, and Dorsey follows the footsteps of Steve Jobs, who sat on the board before his death.

Dorsey, 37, co-founded Twitter, which is profiting greatly from its IPO this year, and is CEO of Square, the mobile payments company that's expected to go public soon, too.

“Jack Dorsey is a talented entrepreneur who has helped create groundbreaking new businesses in the social media and commerce spaces,” Disney CEO Robert A.
