Discovery.com Launches Standalone News Site
Discovery Communications has decided to take its longstanding news channel on Discovery.com and let it stand on its own.
The media company has launched DiscoveryNews.com, a new standalone Web site focused on science- and technology-related news. The site features sections on Earth, Space, Tech, Animals, Dinosaurs, Archaeology, Human and History, along with a collection of expert columns and commentary on space, technology and the Earth. Plus, the multimedia site will showcase content from corporate sibling HowStuffWorks.com.
