CBS Mobile Promotes Rob Gelick to SVP
Rob Gelick has been promoted to senior vp and general manager of CBS Mobile, the network has confirmed.
Gelick succeeds Sam Parker, senior vp operations, CBS Interactive, who had also been managing the mobile division. Gelick, based in Los Angeles, reports to Parker, who is based in San Francisco.
Gelick will oversee the development, production and distribution of all mobile products across CBS Interactive properties, extending those brands across the mobile web and creating applications for multiple platforms including iPhone and Android, the network said.
Commenting on the promotion in a statement, Parker said,“Rob has over a decade of experience in the mobile industry, and I am confident that his experience with CBS’ mobile operations makes him uniquely qualified to step up as the general manager for the Mobile group and continue to grow the division.”
