Prestige New York, an oversized luxury magazine sent to the ultra-rich, continues to look for a new publisher to replace Ray Chelstowski, who jumped ship in early May after publishing the first issue, for the same position at Time Inc.’s Entertainment Weekly.
Meanwhile, the title’s editor in chief Rhonda Palmer has taken on the duties of general manager, Prestige parent, Singapore-based CR Media, announced. Social editor and fashion director Christine Schott was promoted to deputy editor.
Prestige New York launched at a time when ad pages at magazines for the rich are falling faster than those aimed at the general market. Executives there have said the title will set itself apart by guaranteeing to advertisers that it’s actually reaching households with a net worth of at least $10 million.
