New York To Make Money Off Of High School Sports Network

Yikes, how about this for the privatization of New York school: The Department of Education is looking into creating an ESPN-esque network for high school sports in the city, which would ostensibly bring some money back into the game (so to speak). They city department is looking for a company willing to sponsor this idea, with a proposal that “would grant the rights to film, air and promote Public Schools Athletic League activities on cable or network television — as well as online — in exchange for marketing rights and other privileges.”
