-Perhaps looking to make its “quasi-experts comment on ‘American Idol'” story yesterday look substantive, the LA Times reacts to the birth of Suri Cruise by counting down 10 other great celebrity births. Once again, the august publication gives itself an excuse to repeat what all the tabloids are saying (“Tom’s going to eat the placenta! She has to suck a pacifier!”) without actually reporting on such “trash.” There’s a definite tilt toward the recent (now that paparazzi regularly infiltrate the womb to get the first pictures of A-list offspring). But for those (like myself) not familiar with their celebrity birthing history, there are some interesting tidbits on Desi Arnaz, Jr.
