AMERICAblog Goes After Cell Phone Records

Washington’s AMERICABlog is hard at work on a brewing scandal involving public access to private cell phone records. John Aravosis was able to purchase online not just his own cell phone records but also those of General Wesley Clark. CNN, NBC News and CBS News all reported on the story last night.

Efforts by Aravosis failed to purchase the records of ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, the Post’s Dana Milbank, and the New York Time’s Adam Nagourney.

“There are a lot of unanswered questions worth much further investigation, such as why this problem hasn’t been addressed even though congress and the executive branch and the phone companies have known about it for at least six months,” Aravosis wrote last night.
