YouTube Kids Celebrates Women's History Month With New Playlists

To celebrate Women's History Month, YouTube Kids released playlists featuring important women from history and today

To celebrate Women’s History Month in March, the YouTube Kids application has been updated with a series of playlists allowing viewers to learn more about important women from history and today. The YouTube Kids app allows viewers to watch curated content suitable for young audiences.

As part of this event, Rosie Rios, the 43rd Treasurer of the U.S., created a special YouTube playlist called “Super Women of Our Past,” which features women such as Eleanor Roosevelt, Harriet Tubman, Susan B. Anthony and Grace Hopper.

Additional playlists include “Celebrate Women’s History Month” and “Celebrate International Women’s Day.” These playlists can be viewed within the YouTube Kids app, as well as on YouTube itself.

The YouTube Kids app is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store and Google Play. YouTube recently revealed that the app has more than 8 million active viewers each week, and that over 30 billion video views have taken place in the app since it launched in 2015.
