You Can 'Tour' Middle Earth on Google Maps Now
You read that right. Google and Warner Brothers have paired up to promote The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug by empowering superfans to “tour” certain areas of Middle Earth via Google Maps. Here’s the site.
Of course, Google also encourages users to download Chrome for the optimized 3D experience. See what they did there?
