Immediately after the earth quake Zynga launched a fund raising campaign across its social games and managed to generate $1.5 million for the relief efforts, of which $1 million were donated by FarmVille farmers. Zynga collaborated with World Food Program to disperse the generated funs in Haiti.

WFP decided to use some of those funds to rebuild destroyed schools across the country. Almost one year later, one such school has now been rebuilt. Although the classes currently are temporary, but a full restoration will soon be completed.
