Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper will lead CNN’s coverage of the Tuesday, November 4 midterm elections, being billed as “Election Night in America.” Coverage will start at 5pm and Blitzer and Cooper will be joined by “The Lead” anchor Jake Tapper for analysis and chief national correspondent John King operating the “CNN Magic Wall.”
Also slated for air time: Gloria Borger, David Gergen, Dana Bash, Candy Crowley, Michael Smerconish, Paul Begala, Jay Carney, S.E. Cupp, Stephanie Cutter, Newt Gingrich, Van Jones, Kevin Madden, and Ana Navarro.
In addition to televised and online coverage, New Yorkers can turn their attention to the Empire State Building where CNN has affixed a “vertical LED-illuminated ‘meter'” on the top of the building’s spire. As nationwide Senate results come in, red or blue lighting on the meter will indicate which political party has gained control of the Senate.
And at 9 pm on CNN en Español, the network will broadcast “Voto Latino 2014,” to be anchored by Juan Carlos López, Patricia Janiot and Fernando del Rincón.
