Microsoft officially released its Windows 8.1 operating system Thursday, and Facebook’s application for the new OS is already available.

The Verge reported that the Facebook app for Windows 8.1 includes a feature called Share Charm, which allows users to automatically attach photos into emails.

Other features, according to The Verge, include:

  • Status update, photo, and check-in tabs alongside the chat interface on the right-hand side.
  • Buttons for friend requests, inbox, and notifications at the top right of the app.
  • A side panel on the left for quick access to News Feed, messages, events, friends, and other areas of the social network.
  • Search functionality.
  • Snap views.

The Verge noted that while the Facebook app is listed as available to Windows 8 users in the Windows Store, users who try to install the app without having already updated their OS will see the following message:

Sorry, this app can’t be installed because your PC doesn’t meet the minimum system requirements.
